Need furnished room - professional, non-smoking

I am a South African professional engineer (PhD) and need to be in London for a three month period. I will arrive on Fri 23 Oct and will stay in a hotel for the next two days, thus needing a room from 25 Oct until +- 24 Jan 10.
I would like to share an apartment with other (1 or 2) professional people who are non-smokers preferabl in Central London. Hopefully the flat will have a wifi environment.
My interests are music, theatre, nature and travel with the occasional preparation of a pot (potjie) i.e shank, neck etc.
Quiet but sociable. I do respect the viewpoints of other people but dislike arrogance.
